Hey!
The highlight of my week has been having my sister and her family here to visit. My sister and I are really similar. It's like having a forecast 7 years into the future. I'm really grateful to get to talk to her and learn all her super cool tips and tricks.
I know I've only been a missionary for 2 weeks, but I feel like I've learned a lot about alllllllll the areas in which I can be a better person lol. For example: sometimes when I'm teaching (every time) I tend to talk too much--turn it into a lecture--and no one likes just having information shoved in their face. So I've been making goals to be better. Letting my companion talk first. Speaking intentionally in small chunks. Actually having more of a conversation with people! "yeah hermana eastman that's simple stuff" okay yeah I know but I struggle. And in the last lesson we taught, I actually did better! I made steps towards reaching my goals! So woohoo!
Oh btw gym class was sooo much better this week! No burpees thank goodness. One of the elders tried to do one-handed pushups and we all had a good time laughing at his agony.
Oh last thing I promise! I found out I basically have to memorize an entire spanish dictionary type book thing. So yeah. Kinda difficult but not impossible. If you have any memorizing tips I'm all ears.
I don't have many pictures because it's just me, myself, and I in the same chair everyday, and I've never taken a successful selfie in my entire life.. but you can enjoy this picture of me and Piper in class together.
