Hey gang!!
This week was 5 years long. But not in a horrible way! Just in a "wow we are grinding out here" type way.
This week we did some super cool chalk art on a nearby walking path. We were hoping to uplift people's day, get them thinking about the questions of the soul, and lead them to the church website. It was an awesome idea and turned out really cool! The only downside is that we did it at night, and the path is next to a giant retention pond that has standing water at the bottom... you know what that means? GIANT MUTANT MOSQUITOES. When I say giant I mean giant. And because it was nighttime they were swarming in abundance. I could FEEL them dancing and biting all over my skin. It was awful and we were literally screaming as we drew, but we had already started our art and we had to finish. So we muscled through the unnerving feeling of being eaten alive. By the way, I was wearing pants instead of a skirt, so you'd think it wouldn't have been that bad. We got home and I was itching my legs frantically. I changed into a dress to let my skin breathe and found 2 swollen stumps where my legs used to be. My knees were bitten so bad that they swelled up like troll skin. Disgusting. Sorry for the graphic. I used some benadryl and when the swelling went down I counted my bites. Right leg: 57. Left leg: 78. I wanted to die. So yeah, I've looked like I have chicken pox on my legs for the last week. (If you don't want to see a picture, don't scroll to the end😬)
We remade our pizza rolls and it was a success!!
Lots of knocking doors this week. The stories and memories we've accumulated are countless.
Transfers were today and we're both staying so we're pumped!!! Sad to see some people leave the district though😪
Believe in Jesus, pray always, use bug spray;))
