It's Me

I've been a missionary for 6 months! Isn't that crazy?! Here are some highlights from the week:

Zone conf
- I got to teach in spanish during a role play! It's been too long! It was so fun! Like stretching muscles you haven't worked in a while.
- I got to see baby lucy! She is a cute little thing and has some lungs on her.
- Sister Guthrie talked to us about repentance and being better people! She said one thing that stuck with me. "if jesus were in Victoria (or wherever you find yourself rn), what would He be doing?" And I thought about that and realized that I should be doing whatever he would be doing.

Exchanges! In Lake Jackson!
- Sister Becker and I taught a lesson to a nice 19 y/o named trey who is so primed and ready to accept this gospel!! It was an awesome lesson and I felt like a missionary!
- It's gotten so so hot here. Sweating 24/7 amiright? And wearing a mask makes it 10000x worse.
- There are bugs. Lots of caterpillars. And flying things. Am I living in a constant state of fear? Yes.
- I got to visit Consueloooooooo!! She's my friend from Lake Jackson!! I love her and we brought the elders so they're going to start teaching her for real!! Pray for Consuelo🙏

Jaira's confirmation! She is an official member! Yay for her!

Stay strong in the faith! JESUS LOVES YOU!

Hello Parents!

I hope all is well! I like the rug! It's going to be a whole new house when I come home!

I feel a renewed sense of hope today so that's good! I am being carried by Jesus. I've been trying to study and ponder everyday all the time about Jesus and who He is. His character, what's important to Him, how He would treat people, what He would say to me. All of it. I've realized how important He is. And without Him I literally can't do anything. Literally. The only reason I make it by day to day is relying on grace!

Segue off of that, thanks for being good parents😊 lots of people here don't have good parents and it's very sad. Heavenly Father really blessed me.

Can you help me find a treehouse in costa rica? Like some sort of villa. With a back patio that's just a big net. That is what I have pictured in my head. I would like to go there.

Also I would like to stay in an Oregon coast beach house. Like the one we stayed at for our family vacation.

Good news: President and Sister Guthrie have given me a lot of support during this time of struggle. They reach out to me and are trying to help. It's very cool that they have so many missionaries to watch over and they are able to know and love every individual.

Yet still I have highs and lows. I've realized that I've been the only child at home for the past 6 years and so being with someone 24/7 is kind of exhausting. There's no escape. But I find little moments to have a break. I'll take a nap which is nice or I'll do my studies out on the balcony so I can have a little break.

I'm optimistic about my counseling! Brother Richie is really nice! The first appointment was a lot of questions so he could kind of learn my situation and background. I hope it will help me be able to cope a little bit better.

We've all started our transfer predictions. We're halfway through this one! These next transfers are really up in the air. Hna Erickson has been here for a while so she might leave. But I also might leave since I'm dying. But maybe not. Maybe the Lord still has work for me here. So we're really not sure.

The highlight of my week was visiting my friend Consuelo!!! She's the Hispanic lady that lives in Lake Jackson. I found her while I was on an exchange. The elders there have been trying to reach out to her with little luck (found out that I wrote down the wrong phone number whoops) so I went to visit her while i was up there on another exchange! We brought the elders with us in hope that she could feel more comfortable with them and they could start teaching her. It was great! We are good friends. But I forgot to take a picture with her so now I'm sad. The elders were very nice to come visit her. They haven't given up on her yet because I asked them to keep trying. And they set up a return appt with her so success!

I miss Spanish. My abilities are deteriorating a little bit but I've decided to kind of let go. Pretty sad.

Also I miss LANY. 🥺 I can't just go on a drive and listen to LANY anymore. Pretty sad. But I look forward to the day I can start up my apple music account again.

Well I suppose that's it! There's a little more hope in my heart so that's good.
